Superintendent

What will you do?

You will work on diverse projects such as the construction and maintenance of cables, pipes and distribution networks for energy and water. Increasingly, these are also sustainable projects that contribute to the energy transition, such as building connections for solar parks, wind turbines and charging networks for electric transport. You ensure that everything runs smoothly, from the first spade in the ground to the moment the project is delivered and can be put into use.

Your duties include: 

• You manage superintendents, foremen and mechanics, making sure everyone knows what is expected.
• You will create and monitor tight schedules, ensuring efficient deployment of people, materials and equipment.
• You oversee safety, quality and budget and make adjustments where necessary.
• You will be the first point of contact for clients, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• You identify bottlenecks early on and think proactively about solutions.
• You promote good cooperation within the team and maintain a constructive relationship with the environment.

What is your background and experience? 

You have leadership qualities and the ability to switch between people, processes and technology. You also have an eye for safety, quality and results. Furthermore, it is important:

• You have experience as a contractor or chief operating officer in underground infrastructure projects.
• You hold a VCA-VOL certification.
