Safety Engineer

What will you do?

As a safety expert, you will ensure that production processes in the chemical industry run safely. You are pivotal in developing, implementing and enforcing safety policies. Your main tasks:

Oversee safety procedures and compliance with legislation (ARBO, BRZO);
Conducting risk assessments and safety inspections;
Advising employees and management on safe working practices;
Develop and implement safety plans and improvement programmes;
Train and instruct staff on safety.

What is your background and experience?

A completed college education, such as Integral Safety Studies or similar
Experience within the chemical or industrial sector
Knowledge of safety standards and legislation (ARBO, BRZO)
Strong communication and persuasive skills
A proactive and analytical attitude, with an eye for detail and continuous improvement
